ORDER YOUR YEARBOOKS We are now taking orders for your school yearbooks. The yearbook includes all four preschool classrooms and a special feature section for our 8th grade graduates. The deadline to order is Friday, May 9th.
TALENT SHOW NOTICE! Please note that the Talent Show (scheduled for Friday, May 2nd) has been cancelled due to lack of interest. Please mark your calendars.

SCRIP NEWS We are pleased to welcome Marathon Gas with gift cards of $25. We can get $100 cards if you would let Mrs. Behm know.
This just in: At the Marathon on Robbins Road right next to Pizza Hut (across for D&W) you can save 5 cents a gallon if you go there before 10:00 am! We have the following cards we would like to sell: Culver’s $10 Cabela’s $25 Texas Road House $25 Red Robin $10 American Eagle $25 If you go to these businesses, please stop in and buy Scrip first. We also have coupons for Bath and Body Works $10 off a purchase of $30. Stop in and pick up your coupon and buy $20 worth of Scrip to purchase your items. All monies raised will be used to purchase the new textbooks and other supplies needed for YOUR child’s education. Please support our Scrip program. Once you get started, you won’t be able to shop without it!
CHURCH EXTENSION FUND A volunteer is needed to track the CEF investment accounts. Not much time is involved on your part. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Harvey.
DECLARE WAR ON FELLOW CLASSROOMS May 27th – 30th
We will have our first Penny War fund raiser the last week of May. Classrooms will compete against each other to collect the most pennies. Dollar bills may be put into the jars of other classrooms and that amount will be deducted from their penny total. So in order to win, save PENNIES for your own classroom, and declare war on the other classroom jars with your DOLLAR BILLS. The classroom that collects the most pennies will win a PIZZA LUNCH! All proceeds go to the 7th & 8th grade Washington DC trip in 2009!
ABLAZE 2008 COAST-TO-COAST TORCH RELAY (St. John's Lutheran is sponsoring this event)
Who: Runners / Walkers What: Coast to Coast – Lake Erie to Lake Michigan Torch Relay When: June 11 – 20, 2008 Where: Stopping at the Grand Haven Waterfront Stadium on June 17th Why: To share the gospel of Jesus Christ with individual and communities throughout the state.
How can YOU help? v Be a runner/ walker (registration forms in the social hall or at www.ablazerelay.org) v Sponsor a runner or walker v Come to the waterfront stadium at 6:00pm – 8:00pm to hear Christian singer David Britton v Bring neighbors and friends v Help prior to the evening concert

BUS TRIP TO CEDAR POINT There is still room on the sign up sheet to travel to Cedar Point on Monday, June 9th in Sandusky, Ohio. This event is hosted by the St. John’s Church Youth Group (sign up sheet is downstairs) and registration will be on a first come first served basis. Space is limited to 56 people.
