Pastor's Message
ABOUT US MESSAGE STAFF LUTHERAN CHURCH HISTORY PURPOSE

Welcome to our congregation's website. We hope you find it informative and inspirational. We hope you will discover that the family of St. John's can always be found Under the Cross–A Community Under the Cross.

Our location on top of the Taylor Avenue hill makes us visible from many parts of Grand Haven. The bell tower is often the first thing a visitor will see of our church. That cross atop the bell tower tells the whole story of why the church is here.

If the church is to be Christ's Church, then it must stay under the cross. It must be true to its Founder who gave his life to establish it, to save all who are called into its eternal fellowship. The cross towers above our sanctuary and school from its perch on the bell tower; but it is also true that the cross towers above all we do...at church, at work, and at home.

We would like to invite you to come and worship with us.  Come and learn more about our Wonderful Savoir and his plan for your life.

Brothers and Sisters,

He is Risen! Alleluia! What a joyous time of year Easter is and it is a privilege to be able to join with you in worshipping and serving our amazing God. Easter always puts me in mind of Spring, and Spring reminds me of renewal and as a Lutheran renewal always brings to my mind Baptism. In Baptism you died to sin and rose again to new life. May He bless and keep each and every one of you not only this month but every day of your lives.
